Internal medicine is a specialty that is to providing care to adults. Internists diagnose and manage diseases involving any of the organ systems – the heart, the lungs, the liver and gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract, the brain, nerves, muscles and joints. Although some diseases specifically affect individual organs, the majority of common diseases; ischemic heart disease, stroke, diabetes mellitus, hypertention, asthma, COPD, peptic ulcer disease, cirrhosis rheumatoid arthritis .

Internists provide care in an outpatient clinic, in hospitals and ICU and CCU. They take care of the patients including disease diagnosis m management and prevention, and follow-up care from hospitalization. although they make many procedures like lumber puncture, central Venus line, plural aspiration.

Defining the requirements for recognition of the training centers.
Defining the list of scientific references for specialization.
Conducting academic educational activities, conferences, courses and workshops.
Saturday- Thursday at 09am -3pm, except on holidays.
